A beginner-friendly beach tournament
Have you ever wished you could show your non-frisbee friends your sick throws? Have you had enough of your older sister telling you that you couldn’t guard her if she ever played? Do you wish your partner or parent knew what you were talking about when you tell them about a crazy layout D? THIS IS YOUR TIME TO SHINE!
Palentine’s Day Open is a mixed beach tournament (5v5) that is designed to grow the sport of ultimate by bringing your non-frisbee friends to play in a fun beach tournament. There is no right or wrong way to make a team, but we suggest making a team that is about half frisbee players and half newbies.
Date: Saturday, February 14 from 10AM to 3PM
Location: Central Coronado Beach in San Diego.
REGISTRATION FEE: $300 covers your first 10 players. Each additional player is $25 each. For individual pickup players looking to be added to a team, your cost is $25. All proceeds from the event will support San Diego Super Bloom.

Who we are
Super Bloom is San Diego's first professional women's ultimate team. We compete in the Western Ultimate League (WUL) against several other professional teams on the West Coast. In 2025, we won our first WUL Championship.
What we do
Our mission is to grow the sport of ultimate Frisbee with diversity, equity, and inclusion in mind. We do this by building community partnerships and providing diverse playing opportunities—including high-level competition—for women, trans & nonbinary athletes of all genders, and girls in the Greater San Diego area. In addition, we host skills clinics, recreational tournaments, youth events, community workshops, and more.
How to support
Super Bloom is a volunteer-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that relies on donations and fundraising efforts to cover the costs of running our organization. To support our sport, you can: buy tickets to our home games, follow us on social media, purchase official team gear, and/or make a tax-deductible donation.
